I LOVE salads, but I found myself getting bored from my daily salads, no I'm ready to go back to my lunch staple. What's your favorite salad combos?

I love adding those flavored tunas for protein. And I load the veggies.0

 Losing the lettuce.
I get so bored with lettuce that I'll often just toss a bunch of chopped veggies together and call it a salad!
Cucumber, tomato, onion, green peppers. nom nom nom.0 -
Add feta, chicken, shrimp, olives, hard boiled egg, sweet chili thai sauce is also yummy on salads.0

^THIS but I like to use spinach instead of other greens for my salads. Add lots of flavorful veggies and a little feta. ALSO you can add fruit and chicken. There are sooo many ways to have a yummy salad. I have one almost everyday for lunch0 -
I alternate between salads and a turkey sandwich on an Arnold's Sandwich thin with mustard and one slice of cheese. I like salads....but some days I just want a sandwich! LOL!0

I do this too. My fave is grape tomatoes and cucumber pieces with homemade balsamic dressing.0 -
My mom makes a delicious salad with spinach, sliced strawberries, crushed pecans or walnuts, and a little bit of raspberry vinaigrette. Such a good spring/summer dish.0

I am the exact same. I dislike lettuce. I fill mine full of peppers, cucumber, tomato, broccoli, carrots, radishes, etc. Basically any vegetable in the fridge!0 -
I make a Tex-Mex one with grilled chicken or steak, queso fresco, salsa, cilantro & avocado, splash of lemon or lime. I put that on romaine that I've chopped rather small for easy eating!0

Lettuce, tuna in sunflower oil, peppers, sweetcorn, baby tomoatos, a little bit of brie chopped into it.0
-
I like to add black beans and corn to a salad with some salsa and sour cream for dressing.0

I love a good Cobb salad. Very high in protein. If you add a bit of vinegar, it mixes with the avocado and there's no need for additional dressing.
Last night I made a Greek salad out of grilled chicken breast, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, fresh basil and Greek yogurt. then I ate it on a bed of baby spinach...yummy!0 -
I eat salad for lunch usually at least 3 days a week. I buy the stuff for 3-4 salads and prepare them all at once to cut down on prep time. I basically have the same salad all week, then change it up the next week. I do combinations of the following on mixed greens or spinach (unless something else is on sale - I always buy the prebagged stuff):
tomato
cucumber
zucchini
carrots
green onion
garbanzo beans
black beans
hard boiled egg
chicken (grilled, roasted, buffalo shredded, really anything works!)
tuna
deli meat
avacado
pomegranite seeds
manderine oranges
apples
pears
dried cranberries
sunflower seeds
pumpkin seeds
soy nuts
chopped almonds, pistachios or walnuts
any kind of cheese in my fridge (usually using up the packages of shredded cheese opened for something else like taco night, but often feta)
Other toppings that I don't care for but often are on salads - peppers, mushrooms, peas, bacon, croutons
For dressings I use ranch (homemade for less cals), greek vinegarette, or my own combos of olive oil with balsamic vinegar or lime or lemon juice.
Happy eating!0 -
cranberries ...but not too many or cilantro gives a salad a different taste!0

Today I had chicken breast, bacon, cottage cheese, hard-boiled egg and avocado on spinach! Didn't even need any dressing. I've also done a taco salad or fajita mix. I also like a steak & avocado salad. Lettuce does get boring sometimes, so like today I used spinach. Last week I mixed a bag of salad with spinach. Last week I started making my own dressing, with some olive oil, rice wine vinegar, salt, pepper, onion & garlic powders, and italian seasoning. Yum!
I pretty much put anything on a salad - chicken, turkey, ham, beef, tuna - whatever I've got leftover. Cottage cheese or avocado are other favorites.0 -
If I'm trying to get in my veggies/fruits, I'll make a green smoothie and drink it in between meals as my snack. If I want to kick up the protein, I'll add a bit of plain Greek yogurt, but typically get enough protein that I don't need it. I start craving them!0

I LOVE my salad.
I use mixed greens, handful of blueberries, craisins, slivered almonds, campari tomatoes, half and avocado and grilled chicken breast. I use Wish bone basil romano salad dressing - so dang good.
I eat it 3 times a week for lunch0 -
Many of my salads start the same, lettuce, spinach, chopped green onions, red or yellow bell pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, avacado, zucchini, cucumber and yellow squash.
I add different things according to my mood, chicken breast grilled with Tobassco chipolte sauce, ground turkey with taco seasoning, red beans, black beans, garbanzo beans, hard boiled eggs, roasted edemame for crunch, the possibilities are endless... One of my favorite dressings is greek yogurt with salsa mixed into it.
I love to add fruit such as apples, oranges, grapes and dried cranberries.0 -
I've gave my recipe for Italian marinated chicken, which I love to warm up and put onto salads. (I can give the recipe here if you wish, it's very simple grilled chicken)
Some romaine lettuce, cucumber, avocado, cherry tomato, red onion, a few little garlic croutons, topped with a sprinkling of Mexican blend cheese and Italian grilled chicken slices.
It's so tasty to me that I hardly use any dressing after it.0 -
This is my favorite...blackberry pork stir fry salad
http://www.pamperedchef.com/recipe_search/main.jsp0 -
spinach w/ strawberries and sunflower seeds (some fruity kind of dressing like raspberry, or balsamic is fine)0
-
arugula, avacado, peas, egg, beets, radish... anything that came from our garden automatically makes it taste better )
for dressing: usually lemon, pepper and maybe a small amount of olive oil or balsamic vinagrette0 -
