Not really, all my skinny friends and family members are really picky with food and very active. I used to think some of them where really lucky to be able to eat all they wanted but once I really got to know them better I realized that they don't eat as much as I thought.

For me, it was a guy I used to work with. McDonalds breakfast, McDonalds burger as a mid-morning snack, sandwiches for lunch followed by a pasty or two if the office went to Greggs for lunch, and then spent his evenings in the pub on bar snacks and beer. Plus KFC and pizza whenever the offer came up.

I know he liked running, but nowhere near enough to burn off what he ate. It's clear to see when someone like that isn't healthy, though - yes, they're thin, but just take a proper look and realise that what they're doing to their body on the inside often does show in ways we tend not to notice when we're focused on their body size.

    My brother is like this.
  • But if you watch these people closely, I bet they don't sit still. They probably fidget a lot or walk around whilst watching telly etc. They probably don't realise they are doing so

I know the type. These people usually don't give much thought to the issue just eat to hunger and move more naturally. They may eat junk but usually just eat less cals overall(sometimes they may skip a meal etc)

My husband. He thinks he's eating healthy if he has a pizza. He eats nothing but rubbish and only drinks beer or full fat coke.

I have another friend who is thin as a rake. Eats noting but junk 24/7 and huge amounts of it too. Never does any exercise *pfft*

My husband. He has an insanely high metabolism, and he fidgets and shifts all the time. He's in a wheelchair, but if he could stand he'd be 6'5, and he's only 130 pounds! :noway: He doesn't eat as much as he used to, but he actually weighs a little more now. What in the world? His body is SO weird!

my sister in law. she's eats whatever the hell she wants (for example, a few weeks ago she went to McDonalds for dinner and then wanted to go to Wendys right after that...20 minutes later, for a 2nd dinner). I'm kind of resentful of it, because it's super unfair.

She always whines that she's fat (she's like 110lbs tops, and wears a size xs or s)

If she were a nice person I would probably be less resentful. She's self-centered and obnoxious 98% of the time (though I never tell her that), and she's about to turn 21 so i wish she would grow up. :\
