Hi everyone, I just wanted to take a minute to share my story in the hopes that putting it down in writing will strengthen my drive to meet my goal.
My story is that I never had weight issues until I had a child. Since my child was born 12 years ago I have battled with the same 10-15 lbs. over and over again. I try not to "diet." I try to make healthy lifestyle choices, but sometimes it's more difficult than others not to give in to the sinful cravings!
About 2 years ago I went through a vey unexpected divorce. The trauma of it all caused me to drop 20 lbs. but in a very unhealthy way (I literally couldn't eat from the stress). Everyone I know was worried about me but the truth is that I wound up feeling really good about my body at the weight that I got to (although I don't like the way I got there).
I have now been in a relationship for 1.5 years and the happiness brought the weight right back. I no longer feel good about my body and I am not happy about that.
So the goal is to get back to the weight I was, but to get there in a healthy way this time. I love healthy food and I enjoy working out...especially zumba! So let's hope I can make this lifestyle choice stick this time and not give in quite so often to the processed junk and empty calorie filled treats that are so easy to come by in the world around me.

I am sure you can do it. I have been dealing with these type of issues for the last month and know they can derail you big time.
Just focus and take care of you. I know my SO is supporting me through all this too. So as long as you have their support -you can do anything!!0 -
Thanks! My boyfriend is not only supportive, but inspirational! He works out regularly and tries to eat healthy most of the time. Cooking for him is a joy because he prefers healthier meals, unlike my ex-husband who was a meat and potatoes, comfort food kind of guy.
The problem is that since my boyfriend and I eat live in two separate households, and both have fairly busy lives, I rarely know until the last minute whether or not we will be dining together so it is hard to plan healthy, home-cooked meals. We winding up eating out a lot and that is where it all goes very wrong for me! LOL0 -
I think we are living parallels lives LOL!1
Same here - separate (for now) households. I am at his 3-4 nights but never know a few days ahead which nights.
He is a gym rat & huge hockey player so his metabolism just burns calories constantly ;( And with game times ever changing planning meals is just tough.
He is a meat & taters guy but slowly & stealthily getting the more healthy things in there.0
