Hi y'all,
My name is Amber, and i am 22. I was always overweight as a child( which means no bf, no cute clothes, never went to the school dances, and sucked at sports). When i was 18 my brother who is a body builder gave me a diet and in about 6 months i lost 50 pounds! I kept it off for 3 and half years...
From growing up overweight, even when i was thin i still thought i was fat! because i may have been thin on the outside, but inside i was still living as a "fat" girl..my thinking was still the same because i was overweight for so long.
Anyways my fiance and i split up for 6 months and during that time i gained 30 pounds and somehow have developed i guess a binge eating disorder because during that time i literally would stuff my face with food every single night..its been over a year now since the weight gain, and i am sick of it! i want this weight off me. The only thing is...i still cannot stop eating 500-1500 calories before bed on top of my 4daily meals...anyways its been almost a week since i have eaten after dinner thank God, and just from not eating after dinner i have lost 5 pounds. Anyways sorry this was so long but once i get to talking about my weight i could go on and on!

Good job, Amber!!
That was my weakness too - snacking at night. I couldn't stop once I started! I'd have something salty, then need something sweet, then something salty, then something sweet.... ohhh I was trapped! I was able to stop with a lot of prayer, going to bed earlier when the cravings were too strong, and finding something else to do with my hands at night (cross-stitch and scrapbooking, for me).
I have lost 40 pounds since April, and I think cutting out the nighttime snacks was probably the most important factor. Oh, also, I used to drink a beer or two at night. I had to cut that out as well because I found that once I'd had a beer, (1) I wanted something salty, and (2) my defenses were down and I felt like "aw, this one little snack won't hurt anything." Of course, "this one little snack" always turned into about 4-5 different big snacks.
Anyhow, good job on a great start. Keep up the good work, you have come to a great place!0 -
