The recipe looks amazing, but I don't want to add to my grocery bill buying protein powder and other stuff like that. Food is expensive enough as it is!
I will just go without! :bigsmile:0 -
defiantly adding this to my food list when i go shopping next time. Look and sound really good. thank you for sharing0

Very easy to do without the wacky things I did to it...It doesn't have to be vegan-except-for-whey-protein...
If you're allergic to apples, use two eggs in lieu of the applesauce. If you don't have protein powder hanging around, double the amount of the flour you use. If you're not like me and you don't have oat flour taking up prime real estate in your pantry, use all purpose flour or a cake flour. And if you like milk and have milk hanging around instead of soy milk, by all means use that. I just sort of tailored this recipe to my personal taste, what I had in my kitchen, and the nutrition facts I wanted to achieve.
The calorie and carb counts will be a bit higher if you make the changes I explained above but they still won't be too bad for you...The protein powder just cuts some calories and ups the protein (well duh), the applesauce takes away the calories and cholesterol from eggs, and the oat flour is just something I cannot seem to use up and also happens to be slightly fewer calories than regular old flour.
I'm glad you all like the recipe! Let me know how it works out!0 -
