Hello All!!

My name is Krysten. I've been active on this site for about a week now, and feeling more motivated since I have been part of the MFP community.

For the Month of May, I plan on really challenging myself and finally letting loose the athlete I KNOW is inside of this heavey exterior. I have never in my life even ran mile. Well, that's about to change. So far with good diet and moderate excercise I have lost 5 lbs give or take depending on the day. I want to lose 50. ( for now ) and After that milestone, I want to then lose another 35-50. I want to run, I want to be able to tell myself I can run a mile without stopping, and I will get there. Baby steps, but this is a big baby and I plan on getting there as fast as possible. Motivators and new friends always welcome! keep posting those before and after photos, you're my motivation! Soon, I'll be able to do the same!

Thanks for the Support MFP Community!

    Hello Krysten,
There is a book called Run Your Butt Off, it's very informational and motivational. It walks you through walking to running in a matter of weeks. I love it and I am a runner. Good luck in meeting and exceeding your goal.

I, too, have very similar goals... want to be able to run a 5k by this time next year! I can't imagine doing it right now, but I know I can get there! I am also highly motivated by before/after pics! I made my husband take my 'fat' pic last night... haha
  • I'm always kind lol :) We can start slow and build up! Faster then you know it you'll be doing races with me! Just takes time and practice! You've got this!
