Working out and tracking solo... from Miss Codependant

Sooo, after 5 months of great success, my workout buddy and I kinda hit a motivational wall, then my knee gave out and I had to sit out a few weeks (and put back on weight as I am an all or nothing gal - either I workout and diet, or I don't do either). Here and now, she has changed her workout schedule and found a new workout partner. And me? I have a part time workout buddy. My problem is that I am SO codependant! I need someone to hold me accountable to show up for workouts and to eat healthy. Without my old buddy, I don't really have anyone to hold me to my goals, and thus I can't get all of the way back on this wagon. Seriously - I know I should be able to do this myself, but I am just not getting it done! Anyone have tips on how to motivate myself to do this solo when I have N E V E R been sucessful with weightloss on my own? Help!

Start believing in yourself! YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!! I have a friend that made cute motivational & self-love quotes on paper and put them up all over her house. I used to never work out without someone then I just decided I needed to do it for me and I get up early every morning to go work out, I work 2 jobs, train 3 dogs & take care of my house & my boyfriends house chores and still I do it why because I LOVE ME!
I have faith that you can do it too!!0 -
Girl, I am in the same boat....!!! so I guess that means....neither of us is alone.
Wasn't my knee..... but my ankle. My workout partner just left and won't be back until the end of DECEMBER!
I am re-reading "Made to Crave" and trying to focus on the REAL reason for this journey. Praying for resolve and fingers crossed that MFP & buddies here will help me stay on track.. LOTS OF PRAYERS.
Hey... I'll try to spend a few minutes EVERY morning telling our Lord how much we need His strength. I will specifically mention you & Sarah to Him. (tattling on our Sisters to the Father... is approved "tattling") :flowerforyou:
You have proved that you can DO this! Keep your eye on the prize. CB0 -
Carrie, for the record we were exercising at 4:15 in the morning.....So, I love MEREME but not 4:15....It is true, I burned out! But.....I have been rethinking the situation......I am going to reread MTC too!!! Maybe, we can come up with a solution....I am CO-DEPENDENT TOO!!!!! And YEs, Mereme was an excellent motivator! HMMMMMMMM.......0

I -might-get up at 4:15 in the morning to turkey hunt... occasionally... BUT to exercise!!!! Don't see that happening. :noway:
I am a true believer in that we NEED support, encouraging and ACCOUNTABILITY....
I also believe... we've come to far to turn back now!0
