Hello. I'm new to this. I'm 5'2", 137lbs but I'm constantly being told that I'm fat (even by my mother) ((which is rediculous given I'm almost 30)). I think wingeing about being bullied isn't going to help me so I'm going to try and get down to 110lbs and you all seem really supportive. So today I have started the bodyrock.tv 30 day challenge (ow already!) and I'm going to try and not eat so much sugar.
Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed.

Good luck with your goals. :-) They seem very realistic and attainable.0

Welcome to MFP. You will find lots of support here. Let me be the first to say "you're not fat". The Center for Disease Control uses the following formula to determine BMI and unhealthy weight:
current weight x 703 / height in inches / height in inches
For you that is:
137 x 702 / 62 / 62 =25.1
CDC calls BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 healthy. So with a certain degree of error; I would say you are healthy. But I don't know that I would want to sit on the edge like that. A goal weight of 110 gets you to a BMI of 20.1 which would be great. Best of luck to you!0 -
You can do it, but do it for you, not for everyone else.0

First off your not FAT! I hate when people say that. Your goals are in your reach. You can do it. Drink plenty of water, try to work out at least twice a week, try not to go over you calories and stay focused. You got this.0

Hi dinkey,
Your body type is probably muscular, and bones and other attributes can make a person denser. So that's not a problem! I am 5'7" and med boned, also med muscularity. I am at perfect weight at 138lbs. I am 26lbs over that right now, so that's the goal now. You will probably like to lose a little at least. You will probably like that! Good luck! :)MinMin0
