Hi all! I'm putting together a college survival basket for my little sister who graduates in a couple of weeks, and I want to know what you would want in your college survival kit? I'm up for all ideas funny and true. So far I have ideas like:
Ramen
Coffee
5 Hour Energy
Umbrella
Plastic Eating Utensils
Highlighters
Post-its and paper tab markers
Any ideas?

Definitely include some Easy Mac, my cousins live off of that and I may have too as well lol.0

Pretzel sticks (large or thin) and twists were some of my best friends in college. A cook book of some simple yet satisfying recipes is also good. There are many things you can make that are filling yet excessive in calories. That would be my suggestions.
And an air horn to use on the roommates. That's always a great way to get on their nerves. :-D0 -

My old econ teacher baked her daughter cookies in the shapes of penises, vaginas, and beer bottles. I wish somebody would have done that for me. All I ever got was ramen.0

Condoms. I know as a sister you might feel awkward but you really should tell her to be safe in that department.
toiletries (shampoo, soap, whatever else girls use)
some silverware and plates and such
$20 worth quarters to wash clothes and detergent and stuff
chastity belt?
Febreeze. Oh dear god would she need febreeze...0 -

a small sewing kit with thread, needles, safety pins...
a lunch bag (sounds dorky but campus food is crazy expensive)
A nice water bottle (refillable)
colored pencils
School supplies (notebook paper, spirals, binders etc.)
I tried to think of things that I actually found myself needing this last semester0 -
3 ring binders
paper
gift cards

It would probably be good to mention that my little sister DOES NOT drink or smoke weed or cigarettes. She hates drugs and everything about them. We both grew up with alcoholic/narcotic addicted parents. Thanks for the ideas, everyone! You're awesome. =]0

a couple of extra hours on the clock, especially when you're also working on the side0

There are a ton of great ideas, but I want to add that a package halfway through the semester is a really nice treat/surprise. It will make her know that someone at home is thinking about her.
The stuff that I always want to get in a care package is just normal stuff that I used to have at home all the time. Chances are she either can't afford or won't get the same stuff that your parents get for you, so getting her that exact stuff she had at home will comfort her.
My mom baked me a cake once and kept it in the metal thing and mailed it to me across the country for my birthday, it was super awesome =] I didn't care if it was a little dry, it was a home-cooked cake from my mommie =]0 -
One of those alarm clocks with wheels that roll around until you wake up, get out of bed and shut it off. Man, I wish I had one of those. Coffee travel mug, desk lamp, I agree on the duct tape!, gift cards to places near by (especially convenience stores), pictures of family and friends, really good headphones, change for the vending machines, pepper spray (seriously)0

Note cards. Lots of note cards.
And yes to the planner & organizer, if she's the organizational type.
Also- a mini-first aid kit. You don't think about those things until you really need them, haha. (Oh, and my fiance and I started over a Spiderman band-aid hahahaha)0 -
Ibuprofen, candy, a shower caddy0
-
Chewing gum, duct tape, plastic utensils, paper bowls/plates/cups, rubber flip flops, small vacuum, power strip to plug in multiple appliances, nutella, umbrella, peanut butter, Luna bars!0
