I like to drink a whey protein/water drink, or a banana with peanut butter is always great! Anything with protein is good, and always a tall glass of cold water!

The easiest option would be a banana & or protein shake (with water), as these can be consumed as soon as you finish your workout. The best time your body needs the energy before it starts to undo all your hard work.

Think of it as coming out of the gym like your petrol light flashing in your car!! FILL UP ASAP, to stop the breakdown of the important parts. Simples!!!!

Best options for dinner are 1 protein with 1 complex carb.(below)
    COMPLEX CARBS
    • bananas
    • barley
    • beans
    • brown rice
    • chickpeas
    • lentils
    • nuts
    • oats
    • parsnips
    • potatoes
    • root vegetables
    • sweet corn
    • wholegrain cereals
    • wholemeal breads
    • wholemeal cereals
    • wholemeal flour
    • wholemeal pasta
    • yams.(sweet potato)

    A protein drink or a re-hydration drink.
    I prefer the protein drink.
If u read up, a chocolate milk is one of the best things to aid recovery....

I love a protein shake after a workout.. I like to add flax seed meal, sometimes raspberries or blueberries, unsweetened almond milk, ground cinnamon!
