This is the first day that I have sat down to eat luch and simply do not have an appetite. Should I force myself to eat or is this a good thing?

I find that if i'm not hungry and don't eat the next day I am ravenous and tend to overeat because I think I had fewer calories the day before.0

If I'm not hungry and I force myself to eat, for some reason I end up either having a total binge or otherwise just really falling off the wagon. Some people need a very strict regimen of eating and can't deviate from it so they ignore their hunger and follow their schedules. Other people, like me, really need to listen to their bodies because as soon as I stop listening to my body, I"m putting on my eatin' dress in order to dive face first into a tub of ice cream .0

Hello
I eat about every three hours, sometimes I'm not hungry so at that point I just eat a small piece of fruit or a slice or two of turkey, if I don't... I find that I'm starving later so it seems easier to just munch even if I don't feel like it instead of feeling like a bottomless pit later and having regrets
Best of luck0 -

I've been feeling stuffed after eating just a salad for lunch and a few grapes, but then within an hour I am hungry again, so I just grab something for a nice snack. I think you have got to fuel your body.0

I think that is when we should be eating, we are able to make smarter choices about what we eat and are better about not over eating at that point too. I try to eat before I get hungry so I don't pig out, didn't workout so well today, but hey I'm still trying to get all the kinks worked out.0

If it's just a once in a while thing, then I wouldn't worry too much. People have off days or sick days. However, if you're doing that every day, then no, it's not necessarily a good thing. Just my opinion.0 -
I try to get in a minimum of 1750 calories even if I am not hungry. my highest allowed intake is 1970. I dont eat below 1750 because I know that if I do I will stop losing.
I try to spread my calories out fairly evenly about 300 for each meal which is 900 and leaves me 850 for snacks. Sometimes my meals are higher. I just eat more fruits and lo cal veggies for snacks on those days. At night if my remaining calories are too high, I have something higher calorie. If I have A LOT left, one of my favorite snacks is an ounce of pretzles and a tablespoon of peanutbutter, It is a good snack for me and comes in at about 210 calories, depends on the brands you use. I use kroger's brand for PNB and pretzles.0 -
Thanks everyone! This is the first time that I have felt this way. I forced myself to eat some veggies. My goal is to consume 1645 calories per day. I am normally within my goal with the exception of 245 each day but I am also doing P90X and burn a ton of calories which always leaves a HUGE deficit.0
