are you challenging yourself?

Ok so I wanna hear all the ways you challenge yourself? I think it will help to hear what you do to challenge yourself to do something new.

I live on the sixth floor of an apartment building and I usuall ride the elevator up but take the steps down every day now I am challenging myself to walk up the steps at lunch and after i get off of work which is twice a day at 84 steps each time going up plus the 3+ times a day I go down them. This has been hard for me to climb all these steps but now I am putting myself to the challenge and will see what kinda extra weightloss I see after makiing this change.

What is your new challenge?

I can now run a little over 3 miles at once, I want to get to 3.5 before June so I can run a 5k with my trainer without walking at all :)

I challenge myself every week to come up with a new idea for lunch, so I don't get sick of eating the same thing, and revert to my old, poor habits.

I challenge myself everyday at the gym to go longer on certain machines. When I first started I could barely go 3 minutes on an elliptical without being out of breath and needing to stop and today I went for 60 minutes and only took 2 quick breaks to catch my breath. Next machine I'm trying is the arc trainer!

My challenge has always been sweets...so I'm challenging myself to not eat more than 10 grams of added sugar per day. It's not a fitness goal, but it's a wellness goal I hope to make a reality in May :)

I challenge the system. Every system. Right now I'm focused on the reproductive system. I'm challenging myself to release more.

I have to keep challenging myself or I will quit. I will say " If you can't do X, you will never do Y". For example, "if you can't eek out that last half mile, you will never run a marathon (my goal)".

Also, I have been doing 30DS, so every time I try to improve something. Heavier weights. 5 more push ups on my toes. That kind of thing.

Yes, by lifting a little more each strength training workout, by going deeper into meditation and yoga stretches, by adding more protein into my diet, and by belly dancing more.

I've challenged myself by sticking with this truely insane Insanity workout. I had been avoiding it for almost 2 yrs because I thought I couldn't do it, but next week I will be starting the final phase of the program! It's been the hardest thing I've ever done (including running 2 half marathons), but I'm holding my own and getting better & stronger every week. It's been a love/hate relationship for the past 5-6 weeks, but I'll probably take a week or two off at the end and start it over again!
  • I love everyone challenges they have set for themselves. Let keep this going. I think it could help give ideas we may have not thought about before to help each other along their journey. Let's keep bumping this one.

    Bump bump!!!!
