Possible to loose 8-10lbs in 5wks?

Hi all,
Were off on holidays in 5wks time :) I've 10pounds that i'd love to loose and want to tone my arms and stomach. I've started working out twice a day - 45mins cardio in morning (either turbofire or Insanity) and weights in evenings (kettlebells or JM ripped in 30). MFP calorie targets are 1200 plus exercise, so currently eating about 1300-1500.

Any tips on how best to loose 8-10pouonds in 5wks. I realise some people might think 2lbs per weeks isn't realistic but help would be appreciated :):) Thanks :):)

Possible? Maybe. Healthy? Probably not, especially since you're so close to goal. 2.5 lbs is probably much more realistic. Focus on toning and losing .5 lbs a week. You don't want to make yourself sick prior to your holiday!

if you want to tone up, i would do less cardio and more weights & strength training. it is unlikely that you will lose 2lbs per week if you are only 10 pounds from goal, but plenty of strength will help you lose inches. Make sure you are eating all your exercise cals as well.

Many thanks ladies, appreciate both replies. More strenght training it is :) I'm 'scared' of eating all the exercise calories back thinking that i won't loose any weight.... i know, it's silly and i've read reasons why i should eat them back but i can't help thinking i won't ever loose the 10pounds if eat more!!! Thanks :):)

eat them! honestly. when i was near maintenance i upped my cals, and lost MORE weight because of the extra calories... your body will drop the last bit of fat if it knows its being well nourished.

You are better off trying to cut fat. And that is what is really going to make you look better. Losing weight does NOT equate to a smaller dress size always or even teh body you want.

With that said, estimate your TDEE, cut 20% and start lifting heavy so you fail at 8 reps. But with 10 lbs to lose, you can't do that in five weeks without losing serious muscle.
