personal blenders & smoothies - two part question

i'm thinking about getting a personal blender to make the occasional fruit and/or protein smoothie (so i don't have to constantly be cleaning my full sized blender). i'm researching them a bit but i figured there had to be some people around here that use them, so, any recommendations?

also,
can anyone recommend some websites or books with lots of yummy, healthy smoothie recipes?

thanks!

I have a hand blender that I use when I don't feel like using the big blender. It's good for smoothies (if you add ice it takes a little longer to blend but it handles frozen fruit well). An added bonus is that you can make blended soups with it.

    I have this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CSB-76W-SmartStick-200-Watt-Immersion/dp/B000EGC9SG

The blending part comes off and can go in the dishwasher.

Can't recommend any recipes because I just go with whatever's on hand and hope it tastes good :P but the magic bullet blenders are awesome and so worth it!

I have a GE single serving blender (Wal-Mart about $20 if I remember correctly) and absolutely love it! It comes with multiple cups and lids so after I make my smoothie in the morning I can just pop the lid on and take it with me on the road. My favorite smoothie recipe, currently is:

1 handful of baby spinach leaves
    1/2 c frozen blueberries
    1 banana
3/4 c light vanilla soy milk
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
    A few ice cubes

It's really tasty and I get a few of my fruit/veggie servings knocked out right off the bat. Hope this helps
