Hi there,
I'm new and am on my 1st week............each Friday a few lady friends get together and have a drink straight after work at one or others home, I'd like to choose this as my most lenient day (diet wise) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what sort of nibbles I could have. I will be taking carrot sticks and humous, but wondered what else I could take that wouldn't break the calorie bank.................any ideas gratefully received :flowerforyou:

I really enjoy slices of red. orange, and yellow peppers as something to nibble on, oh and slices of cucumber too. I'm apparently weird because I eat them without dipping them in anything, but if you portion out an amount of something to dip them in that would be quite low in calories and get you at least 2 vegetable servings.
Also, you didn't ask, but a fairly low cal drink would be Moscato d'Asti, Risata. I'm not really a wine person, and this is cheap wine, but I think it's really good and it only has 25 calories per ounce.
Hopefully that'll be helpful for you! I don't really have any friends on here so if you're looking for friends feel free to add me!0 -
A bowl of popcorn; low cal crackers topped with low fat cream cheese and a slice of tomato; fresh rice paper (spring) rolls stuffed with lightly sauteed carrot, cabbage and turkey mince. Homemade kebabs are good - alternate pieces of chicken with zucchini and other colourful veges.
Replacing drinkies is harder! Soda water with a dash of lime?

As well as carrots with your hummous, try roasted butternut squash chips. A bit messy but yum!0
