Will Power

I really struggle with will power, I've recently got a book all about will power which I plan to start reading tonight. I find that once I've got a thought in my head, i.e. that there is a snicker in the cupboard, that although I resist for some time I eventually cave and get it.

I know this is really weak willed but I wondered what expeienced MFP people did (and do) to overcome this and what tips or advice people might have for me.

This is definitely a BIG problem for me and I think the sooner I master this the sooner I can get to my goal weight!

    if your weakness is a snickers then try to not keep it in the cupboard. I struggle with this as well. sometimes I am very strong and other times I feel like I cave into anything even foods i don't even like that much. I find that if I have nourished my body well throughout the day and i have not deprived myself then I more likely to be successful than when I deprive myself, decrease my caloric intake and cut out certain food groups.

    I also like to look at motivating pictures and quotes. like these, they keep me motivated!!! hope it helps :smile:
