I am fairly new here and wondering if I am the only old fart here..

I like the younger folks but would feel good to have conversations with folks in my age bracket and face the same issues in losing the pounds..

58 in July of this year.

Still playing competitive Indoor soccer in a league. Had to move to Goalkeeper about 15 years ago, but I plan to play for many more years.

@Kailee - that's what I think is cool about being 50(ish.) We're old enough to do whatever the h3!! we want without having to worry what anybody thinks. If I want to act like a kid, I'm gonna act like a kid. If I want to go out in my backyard and jump on the trampoline with the teenagers, I'm gonna do it. If the neighbors think I'm off my rocker (pun intended) so be it! We went to the beach about a month ago, and I had a ball and didn't have to worry about image like so many off the "younger" folks there. We rock! :drinker:

61 here, been on my change of life journey since the first of the year. I don't like to call it a diet.. just something about that word that makes me think of all the failures I've had in the past. Now I can actually walk up and down those hills at the golf course (18 holes) without huffing and puffing, so something has positively changed. Weight is coming off a little slower now but thats ok, I've got the rest of my life. One of these day's I'll have the b&^s to put my pic up here too, if I can figure that out.

And as far as old fart goes, I'm being told 60's if the new 40's so all is good. :drinker:

59 here and yes it definitely gets harder to lose the older you get. But I found I have gotten more determined( or stubborn) as the years go by and hope I can finally lose the weight this time. This has been a lifelong struggle with me and lots of yo-yoing along the way.

Can't say I qualify as an old fart, but I will be 61 soon and after 6 months, am well on my way to meeting weight loss goal.
