Pear Shapes-Show me your before and after pics!

Right now I'm 5'7" 199lbs (hopefully less, haven't weighed myself in a week) and a size 18 with huge hips and thighs (50" hips, 29.5" thighs.) I realized the other day that my thighs are bigger than my waist was until just a few years ago. Ouch. Just looking for some inspiration. Show me what I have to look forward to!

Well I started out with my hips at more than 53 inches. The 53 inches was when I measured after losing my first 5 pounds.
Now my hips are around 40.5 inches. can't wait to break into the 30s! lol. my waist started at more than 47 inches, now at 36.
I started on MFP 14 months ago and I've been exercising 5-6 days per week since then. This is my new account so the dates don't match up

I was just thinking to myself about how I'd love to see some pretty pears!! I need some inspiration, lets support the most bangin body type and show off the progress

wow!!..you look awesome!!..im a pear myself and boy do those hips get in da way..lol..im jus gettin started on my weight loss journey..im 240lbs, 5'11..my goal is 170..im not goin to stop til i get there!!..you jus really inspired me even more!!..thanx for sharing!!0

today, 155.4 lbs
waist 28 in
hips -40
goal weight : 145lbs

I started 01st Jan on 210lbs waist of 48 and hips to match! Which I found a bit odd as i have always classed myself as a pear but numbers dont lie!
But on 29th April my pear shape reappeared I am now 192 waist of 42 and hips of 45...doesn't sound a lot but I am only 5ft 2 and when I post my 6 month progress on 01st June I hope to see a huge difference!

Thanks so much! I started out with all exercise bike for a few months. Then I started doing DVDs half the time. Now I mostly do DVDs, plus a couple of walks per week and rollerblading maybe once per week. I do Jillian Michaels DVDs a lot. I love her No More Trouble Zones. Another favorite of mine is on netflix===kickbox bootcamp! I love that one.
And I used to eat about 1800 but now I almost always eat about 1600.0 -
