    how important of an ingredient is the applesauce?? these sound so delicious but the hubby is alergic to apples and I don't want to kill him with cookies!! any suggestions for replacement ingredients??

    I would think that you could replace that with puree pears or similar fruit.

    The other thing is that I would be tempted to use some soy protein powder in place of some of the oatmeal. That would give these a protein boost. I see experimentation this weekend.

    They sound/look delicious. However, I went to that web address provided at the bottom and in the comments someone says it makes approximately 50 cookies. Also, did anyone notice you only drop by TEASPOONFULS onto the cookie sheet? Bummer---that's got to be only 1 bite---sounds tiny...
