Has anyone used peppermint as an appetite suppresent. If so, how and did it actually work? I need something to work!

  • I have! It works like a charm. get some sugar free hard candies (like 5 calories each) and suck on it for a while. I think it can hold me over for about an hour.

I chew peppermint gum. It satisfies the need to chew and supresses the hunger.

I drink a lot of mint / peppermint (herbal) tea, especially in the AM while waiting for lunch to come around. For me the extra water makes me feel full between meals and the minty flavor keeps my taste buds satisfied as it tends to linger for while. I don’t know if a small mint candy would do the same thing, but might be worth a try if you can keep it to just one or two. I have seen where some put a mint leaf or two in with their ice tea - that might work too! Good luck!

man....i could go for some peppermint right now lol! im starving waiting fo lunch.....
  • I don't care much for peppermint because it usully upsets my tummy so I go for Dentyne cinnamon gum. It curbs the cravings and keeps my mouth busy. Perhaps even a bit energized:)
