Hi! :) Thought I'd join after reading through some of the posts, and seeing how much of a difference people have been able to make in their weight/health using this site. I was chunky during Jr high, slimmed down in high school, hit 130 (my lowest) for my wedding, went up to 140 (post-wedding/back to work, honeymoon, back to school....basically, enjoying life! lol), then got pregnant. Delivered @ 194 lbs, got down to 175 3 months later, lost a little more reallllly slowly, got pregnant at 7 months pp, (at 162), lost some more weight, delivered our second daughter (!! :)) at around 190, and here I am, 2 months later, 168. Obviously, doing a little better than last time, but really need to tone up BADLY. I love food/snacking. (I eat on the go a lot....with two little girls 17 months apart....not time for a whole lot else lol)

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement you guys have already provided, and looking forward to what this summer holds!!!

  • Feel free to add me as a friend. It sounds like we have a whole lot in common! I have a boy and a girl that are 10 months apart!! If it makes you feel any better my numbers are slightly higher than yours, when I delivered my son I was up to 211! Then when I went to my 6 week pp check up I was pregnant again!!!!! :noway: So when my son was 10 months old I delivered our precious daughter, by the time she was 3 months old I was down to 160. Well she's 2 now and he's 3 and I'm at 186. My "baby weight" excuse days have long passed. So May 1st I started over, I'm working to completely change my habits and my way of thinking about food. This site is an excellent help in keeping me motivated and on track. It really helps me keep the "one day at a time mindset" Good Luck!! We can do this!

Dude, you are busy! :) I thought 17 months was close. haha It won't seem so crazy when our kids are grownup though...just need to survive the toddler years (for me, anyway. gah!) They can really throw our bodies for a loop though, with being pregnant/pp/nursing. It's so crazy.
