Tomorrow never comes

I always start well with the scheduling of food (I stick to it because I've got the app on my phone) and then I throw the morning away at night with a bag of crisps, or chocolate or something like that, and then I think "I'll start again tomorrow" is there any ways people have just broke through the first few days? I'm considering throwing out everything that will tempt me, but that's not really what this is about, because you can have small amounts.. Any tips? Thanks :)

I am so a fan of large breakfasts- between 500-600 calories. I find that the rest of the day goes smoother - less of an urge to eat huge meals at lunch and dinner. I tried the 5-6 small meals a day, but found that I function best with three meals, in spite of the more popular advice of many meals. I hate interrupting my day to eat, and am glad to discover that 3 squares work well for me. At the end of the day, there is caloric room for dessert, and strangely enough, sometimes an orange is just a great one.

I agree with taiji22. My biggest meal of the day is Breakfast and I tapper off though the day. I also eat about 5-6 small meals a day so I never feel really hungry. It is good to throw out things that will tempt you, but maybe find a healthier alternative. If you feel like you are being limited you will want those things even more. I think it is just about taking one day at a time and each day it will get easier. I hope that helps a little. I know it's hard, but you can do it. It's worth it in the long run

Get rid of all junk for at least the first 4 weeks - then only have treats when you have earned it by exercising, and only away from home - don't bring it home - even after 13 weeks I have no self restraint - went to Haighs 3 days ago and have been way over calories the last 3 days due to vanilla fudge bars!!!!

I'm exactly the same, I'm fine all day then as soon as 19:00 strikes I can't resist chocolate, crisps, wine... :frown:

I'm the same! It's something which I've found myself doing.. I've kicked off yesterday after the words of encouragement, and am just finding other things to do except for eat!
  • When you find yourself going for late night snacks, drop do a few pushups to remind yourself the work it takes to reverse the calories, brush your teeth and go to bed! A good nights sleep is great for the metabolism!

I'd say throw the chips out. I don't buy anything that tempts me to overeat. Maybe later on in this battle I'll be able to resist the temptations but not now. I also don't stay up late. I go to bed around 8 or 9.
