For those of you who count calories, do you count from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed or do you count for a 24 hour period?

Replies

  • I do from when I wake up until I go to sleep. That's the way I've always considered "a day," even though the time may say otherwise.

I count the time I'm awake as a day. If I eat after midnight I count it on the previous day. The same with exercise. If I worked graveyard or had an otherwise unorthodox schedule I'd probably do it differently.

My schedule is pretty erratic. I always count from wake up to bed time.
  • I start with breakfast and end with the last thing I eat , sometimes dinner, sometimes a snack, before I go to bed.
