Realistic weight loss goal between now and August?

Hey,
Can anyone help me with finding out a realistic weight loss goal between now and August?
I am possibly going on holiday at the end of August and would like to look good in a swimming costume! I know I won't have a bikini beach body so I wanted to see what goal would be reasonable so that I'm not disappointed by not reaching one that was never really going to happen anyway!
I am currently 161lbs and my ultimate goal is 126lbs, but I want to lose it healthily.
I am dieting and doing a couple of hours of exercise a week.

that's 35 lbs in say 12 weeks or nearly 3 pounds a week. Bit optimistic perhaps, but you don't say much about your size, exercise, diet etc.0 -
Everyone i talk to about weight loss recommends a healthy 2 lb loss each week. I too am trying to lose weight by august for our summer vacation, but im hoping for more than 2 a week....0

You are not very heavy so I wouldn't think it will come off really quickly... but I would think 5 pounds a month would be slow, safe, and very likely attainable. If you work at that rate, you'd be under 140 for your vacation and getting pretty close to your goal! All the best!0

I'm 5'7" if that is any help?
My aim is around 2lbs a week really, it would be nice to lose more some weeks.
My exercise is swimming 50 laps and a step it up type class, along with dancing around like an idiot for an hour on the Xbox Kinect haha.0 -

I would also suggest lifting some weights to it will help you get rid of quite a few inches and you will probably look a lot better than if you just drops lbs on the scale.0
