Make sure you bleach your water bottle lids once in a while!

Dh & I have Camelbacks and the plastic tips were gross! His has blue tips, so you couldn't even see the gunk. Clean your bottles with a little bleach water every now and then, if you don't already.

I had this problem a few days ago. Even with regular washing, I got build up especially in the tip and the straw part of my camelbak. I used a q-tip to clean inside of it, and it worked great! I can actually taste a difference in the water, which is a bit sad lol.
  • I just bought a new Camelbak one because my old one was so bad and I hadn't noticed :/ Yuck!

I throw my bottles (and lids) in the dishwasher occasionally, and set it to sterilize. My daughter had one in her room that was green on the bottom **shudder** she said the water tasted kinda funky... ug!
