question about entering ingredients for your own recipes

when i am entering ingredients for a recipe...say onions or mushrooms...or anything, really...does it matter if i enter them as raw or cooked? i should probably know this, but does cooking change the nutritional value of foods? for instance, i added raw onion, raw green pepper, olive oil, etc to the ingredient list but should i add them as sauted since that's how it's consumed?

Cooking can change the measured weight of the ingredient. I suppose technically it can change the nutritional values too, but mostly it's about the amount. Since I weigh all of my ingredients before cooking, I try to pick the raw verisons from the database (when there's an option).0
