Calories in an IV

I had an IV this morning and trying to figure out how many calories would have been in it? I'm not entirely sure what kind it was but it was slightly green in color and they kept telling me it had vitamins and minerals... any rough estimates?

You'd have to know what kind it was. Regular LRS , Norm R or saline wouldn't have any calories unless they had dextrose added to them. To figure calories, you'd have to know if there was dextrose (sugar), the concentration and how much you got. I wouldn't worry about the calorie content.0 -
Honest opinion. Ignore the IV. There was a medical reason why they gave it to you, and, IMO, you really shouldn't be thinking about how many calories were in it.0
