Walking Style

While I was walking this morning I got to thinking....90 mins gives you plenty of time to ponder how great it is to be alive
My abs and I have only just become acquainted so I thought I might request their assistance during my journey and wouldn't you know they happily obliged !!!
I found when I drew them in...up...I think I did it right
...I found I my hips 'lifted'. This took the weight off the tops of my legs, I could really feel the difference. It then in turn straightened my back, I felt my lower back brace, my shoulders pulled back and my head raised. This all gave me a far smoother stride.
So now my question is am I correct in thinking I have engaged my core, reducing strain and increasing strength?
Now I just have to remember to breathe properly
Oh these things take so long to work out.......:ohwell:
