Whats the scoop and where do you get them ? Just read about them in overbite oatmeal recipe. Also steel cut oats or regular old fashioned? Thanks!

I got mine from Costco...I add them to my Greek yogurt. Haven't used them in other ways yet...lots of suggestions on the bag as to how to incorporate them into cereals, salads, etc. interesting little things they are!!

I've gotten then packaged at costco and at Whole Foods and my local organic market. Most recently I'm eating Bob's Red Mill.

They are awesome. I use them in yogurt, on salads, on PBJ sandwiches. And I drink them.

Good protein, good fiber, GREAT Omega-3s.

    They taste nutty.

For me it is more of a texture change...tiny little seeds...little bigger than poppy seeds but smaller than sesame seeds. They have a slightly nutty flavor. when moistened they get a weird little gel like sack around them...not sure if they would "show up" in your oatmeal but they do in yogurt., they add just enough texture to be fun.

I mix mine in orange juice! Sounds weird but I like it. I'd say no taste at all. My OJ still tastes just like OJ. The color is weird but tastes like OJ jello sort of, lol!

I order mine in a HUGE bag from Amazon. Then when it comes I divide them up in to plastic containers (usually Glad or Ziploc disposable containers) and keep the one I'm using in the fridge and put the rest in the freezer. Usually the bag I order lasts me 8-9 months and I eat around 1-2 tablespoons of chia a day.

I stir a tsp on nonworkout days and a tbs on workout days in my oats every morning and they don't change the flavor at all but they do add another hours worth of fullness to my breakfast which is great :)

Also I use old fashioned oats, but steel cut are good, I just don't like how long it takes to cook them!

I found them at a local grocery store that has a health food section. They were really expensive there. We do have them in Walmart in the bulk section and 1/2 the price.

OH! Glad they're at Wal-Mart! I'd like to try them, too.

I get my chia seeds in bulk at PCC, though that's not a huge chain like Whole Foods. Definitely cheaper in bulk!

I've made overnight oats with both types of oats, and much preferred rolled oats to steel cut. Enjoy! It's such a fun, filling breakfast. :)
