I'm likely the odd one out.
Mine are:
40% protein
30% carbs
30% fat
1500 sodium
40 grams of fiber0 -
Two people of the same sex, age, height, weight, BF%, etc. can have vastly different percentages based off lean mass, activity, and goals. If you're fishing on what to set for yourself, I wouldn't base it off of anyone else.
A lot of people prefer to set specific gram amounts based on their weight and goals, but unfortunately MFP only allows us to set percentages. I'd like to keep my proteins & fat constant, because if calories/exercise is increased or decreased, those numbers go up/down proportionately.0 -
everyone is different. It depends on your goals and of course, your own body. some peoples body react differently to different foods. some people swear by low carb, others believe that carbs are a good thing. You have to figure out what your body works best at. This takes time
for me though.
Fats are always at less than 30%, but these are all good fats in my diet (avocado, canola oil ect)
1gram of protein per LBM (lean body mass) MINUMUM , you can calculate your LBM at fat2fitradio.com
The rest i eat what i want, but im a clean eater
and last but most important
Dont cut anything out completly. If you cut something cut something out that you love, you'll end up binging.
you are allowed chocolate, and all the bad stuff
everything in moderation
Its a lifestyle, not a diet
in response to your question im at 35/45/20 p/c/f0 -
40 Carbs
30 protein
30 fat
I also eat 1600 calories a day it took me 6 weeks to find my perfect balance0 -
40/30/30
I have trouble staying within my fat levels usually.0 -
i try to keep my carbs under 100g a day, my protein around 100g a day, and leave the fat to be whatever it is. on 1500 calories, that currently works out to:
30% carbs/113g
30% protein/113g
40% fat/67g
30g fiber - it really needs to be higher
1,500mg sodium
since i can't get it any more specific than that, i just leave those macros as my goals and eat to fit them. i tend to end up under on carbs, slightly under on protein, and fat oscillates depending on what i eat. it works for me when i stick to it!0 -
Thanks everyone!
I too have been using the 40-30-300 -
40carb/30fat/30protein.

I run on carbs. Literally. :laugh:0 -
40/30/300

My carbs are 50 but I rarely reach that. My fat is 25 but I usually go over with healthy fats such as nuts, olive and coconut oil. My protein is 25 and I go over that the odd time.0
