Hey everyone!

I was wondering are there any women or men out there who's over the age of 40 and completed the 30 Day shred? What were your results? If possible, can you show before and after pictures. I'm on level 1 day 6 but I think I'm going to start level 2 tomorrow. No weight loss yet but it would be nice to know that there are other over 40 year old who have completed the whole 30 days with great results. Thanks.

I'm 55 and I'm on level 2 day 4. I have to stop and pause the tapes a few times to get thro. My heart rate gets up there. I use 5 pound weights. I am also doing another program--Supreme 90 days with Tom Holland at the same time. I can't tell that I have lost any weight but I have lost inches. I didn't take any pictures--sorry.

50 here, no pics. Finished 30 day shred over 4 months but I do something every day, just like to mix things up. Each level seems hard at first but gets easier each time. I was running regularly but never worked on my arms and core before. Now I can do 15 real pushups in a row and wear those sleeveless dresses. Actually got asked if I worked out yeah!

Here you go...I'm 44, 5' 11" finished it a couple of months ago. I also run a couple of times a week. It took me about 40 days.

I did Level 1 for 5 days (easiest), Level 2 for 15 (hardest!) and Level 3 for 10. Also, pay very close attention to your diary at this time because a clean diet will really help.

I'm 41 - did the Shred for 30 straight days in September. Don't have pics to share and I didn't lose a lot of weight, maybe 4 or 5 pounds but I definitely lost inches!! Started doing a rotation of Jillian Michael's on April 1st again and plan on making it a regular exercise for me. I'm switching between 30 Day Shred, No More Trouble Zones, and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. NMTZ is my favorite of all of them. Good luck on your journey - I'm sure you'll be happy with the results

I am 60 and finished the 30DS a couple of months ago. I lost over 12 inches and 6 1/2 pounds. I was amazed at what I could do with this dvd and felt so much stronger afterwards. I'm doing the Ripped in 30 now.
  • That's fantastic! Congratulations!

I'm 44 now, but started 30DS a couple of years ago. It was the start of my fitness journey! I don't have any before or after pics, and wasn't using MFP at the time, so don't even have any tracking data for you, but it definitely kick started my whole lifestyle change for the better. It made me realize that I could get stronger, more flexible and increase my endurance in just 20 minutes a day, and lose weight in the process. It just made me want more! More fitness, more weight training more cardio - more Jillian DVDs.

I still do a Jillian workout every day - I've got a stack of them on my entertainment center.

Great Job! I'm very glad to see that age doesn't matter when it comes to losing weight and inches. I was afraid that I wouldn't see any resulty. Thanks for sharing.

I'm 46 & I did 30 days straight last July. No other exercise, just The Shred. I lost 14.5 pounds and 8.75 inches. I'm currently also doing the Jillian Michaels library in rotation for my morning workout before work and then run and or bike after work for extra cardio.

The lighter you get the harder you gotta work to burn those calories!

    Good luck! :-)

Oh my goodness, your weight loss is amazing with the 30 day shred. Congratulations! I would love to lose that much with this program. My doctor thinks that my body is not losing the weight because I'm at the weight my body should be at which to me is not true; but my weight won't move. Thanks for sharing.

I"m 42 and just bought the shred video. I'm plannign on starting it after my trip to Disney which is next week. I hurt my shoulder playing volleyball so I don't want to aggrivate it more with lifthing weights. I'm excited to see the results, I've heard great things. Make sure you take measurements because I'm sure others will be asking you at the end of your journey. Good luck!

If you get bored with the same moves you may not like it. I decided to change how i did the 30 days. I did 7 days of level 1 then i started the next week of level 2 on alternate days until i reached the 10 days for level 1. Now i'm doing alternate days of level 2 and level 3. It's fun this way and i'm enjoying it. I'm not losing much weight but i am losing inches. I won't measure again until the end of March. Good luck!
