I've been struggling with my weight loss lately, seems sooooooo slow. I tend not to focus on the positive nor see the progress. I tend to see all my flaws. I've been working towards getting fit, so I signed up for the Chase Corporate Challenge, a 3.5 mile run/ walk on May 31st. It's one thing to jog on the treadmill, another to take it outdoors. Today I took it outside........WOOT !! WOOOT!! I killed it ! RAN 4.1 miles . It's all about believing in yourself. Now I just need to take this confidence to race day. :happy:

Good luck with your race, and wish me luck with mine. I also entered the Corporate Challenge in my city. Ours is May 17. I haven't jogged or ran in years, but I have to start sometime.0

Great start. I hope you can keep it going. Running outside is very satisfying. Here is my tip to improve outside. Charge up the hills. That will improve your strength and speed. Lighten up on the downhills. Gravity will pull you along and you will save yourself from injury. Good luck in the race. You will be a winner!0

Thanks PK......I haven't found the joy in running yet, for me it's a way to get to eat more ! Calories burned. I have a way of psyching myself out....today everything just fell nto place...I got past that 1st mile ( which always sucks for me), kept the negative thoughts out of my head and maintained my pace...heck it was almost pleasant...lol0
