feeling bloated but not full...?

i am quite slim (have a BMI in the low-end of the healthy range) but i have found that recently I am feeling very bloated.
Whenever or whatever I eat I feel that my stomach sticks out uncomfortably, as if I have eaten way too much, even if I don't feel full. Sometimes i even feel like it when I haven't eaten, such as during the day, or when I wake up (when all my food has been digested... :L)
Does anyone else have this, or know what causes it? Or better, how to prevent it haha?
thanks!

Your eating fewer calories and the food is laying there causing gas. When you ate more calories the other food was pushing it down and out. I get bloated all the time now. Then I poop 3 or 4 times in a day. Then the process starts over. At least that how it works for me.0

without seeing your diary, I can't be sure. do you eat a lot of bread products? It could be a gluten intolerance. Do you eat a lot of broccoli, cauliflower, etc, they can cause gas. Raw veg can cause bloating.0

It might also be water retention... Make sure you're drinking the recommended amount of water everyday, that way your body isn't holding on to it because you don't drink enough. Also too much salt in your diet could also be the culprit, making you retain water and bloat. The recommended amount is 2400mg for a 2000 calorie diet, so you'd want to modify it based on your own, but remember you get iodine mostly from salt, so make sure you're still getting what you need.
Drinking tea, particularly green tea, can also help reduce bloat, not to mention boost your metabolism. It's best for you unsweetened, although I use a zero calorie sweetener.0 -
thanks for all the tips! i'm going to try drinking as much water as i used to and see if that helps...then maybe i'll look at food intolerances0

How healthfully have you been eating? I think it's normal to get that bloated feeling (and feel hungry) when you're not eating very well - empty calories and all that. Think of Chinese food... totally makes you bloated but then you'll feel like eating again in 30 minutes.
Aside from that, if you've been eating great then the topics mentioned above are great.0
