HELP! I need a ball gown!

I just won some tickets to a black-tie gala in San Francisco on May 11! That's awesome, but all of my formal wear is too big, and I'm in need of a ball gown!

I'm not sure how formal sizing is in relation to regular sizing, but I think I'm going to need an 18 or 20. If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area I can definitely come pick it up, borrowing is ideal, or if you're out of the area I can pay to ship it here and back to you, or if you're selling the dress please let me know how much.

Not sure if anything will come of this, but hopefully someone's got a lovely dress just hanging in a closet that they won't mind letting come out and play for a night!

I am not exactly familiar with CA geography, but if one of these Plato's Closet stores is near you I HIGHLY suggest you check it out. Gently used brand name clothing at very low prices. Our local store has evening gowns from $10+! Good luck!

lee I might be more in the range of a 14-16 maybe 18 at the largest. I tried on a few dresses tonight the best friend had an all of the 16s and 18s fit me. I even found one that I may end up wearing and it's actually a size 14! this is so shocking that i almost want to cry. it really wasn't that long ago that I was wearing a size 26!!
