I am starting Stronglifts 5x5 today. How much rest between sets and exercises? I have read anywhere from 45s to 5 minutes!

Enough to be ready for the next set. I'm doing a similar linear progression program (Practical Programming) and I take a lot more between Squats and Deadlifts than Bench Press and OHP. Usually around 5-8 minutes for Squats and DLs and 2-4 for Bench and OHP. Knowing how much is really based on knowing your own body and knowing what "recovered enough" feels like to do the next set.0

For squats and deadlifts, I usually wait a few minutes in between sets. For bench press, overhead press, and rows, I wait about 60-90 seconds.0

Depends on how challenging the set was. If it was easy (and at the beginning of the program, it may not challenge you for quite a while, depending on how strong you are), then 1 minute is fine. As it gets harder, increase the rests to as much as 5 minutes.0

Great. This makes a lot sense
Thank you!
