is walking a form of cardio?

i work at a pizza place and it basically requires me to stand non-stop for about five hours at a time. i noticed this was listed under the "exercise" column in myfitnesspal, and it supposedly burns a lot of calories (more then 400 for two hours!) but that just doesn't seem right to me. Should i count standing as a form of exercise?

Depends. Do you have your profile set as sedentary or lightly active or something more? If lightly active, then you probably shouldn't count your work at all....sort of like double dipping.0

^^^^ Agreed. I'd set your activity level as lightly active to account for the job, but not count it again as exercise. That way, it's still being taken into account without having to figure out how many calories you're actually burning.0 -
