Weight training through magazines..

HAs anyone cut out the workouts and follow them? Did you see results? I really need to start a weight regimine and I'm short on cash.
I don't really need weights or fancy machines, right?? It's possible to rely on my body to help tone, right? Or do i need to buy weights?

I always thought the fitness magazines were mostly advertisements for supplements. There's no need to pay money for a complicated workout plan...here are two that will cost you nothing but the time you put in doing them:
If you have a gym: stronglifts.com
It's a simple program that's very effective. There's a group on MFP for women doing the program and somebody shared a great summary of the program: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/560459-stronglifts-5x5-summary

So bypass the machines and go straight for the free weights. You'll get more benefit from those anyway.0
