Weighing pasta before or after cooking?

I bought a food scale and have been weighing my pasta before cooking, so I don't make too much. It looks like enough before I cook it, but after I feel like it's barely anything? I'm wondering if I'd have more if I weighed it AFTER.

On the pasta I buy it specifically says "dry" when it says how many ounces0
