Hello

Hi everyone. I've been using MFP for about 3 weeks now in conjunction with Insanity. A friend from work showed the program to me about a year ago and I never really got too into it until now. About a year ago I was tipping the scales at over 260 lbs. Being a collegiate wrestler in the 165 lb weight class, I felt absolutely distgusting and could barely find anything to wear. Around last June a friend came from third shift onto seond shift and kept encouraging me to workout during our lunch breaks. Finally I gave in and we started lifting weights on our lunchbreaks and soon we were accompanying that with cardio activities after work. I dropped about 15 pounds but couldn't really get anymore off. I joined my company's Wellness Committee as incentive to get into shape and be an exmple to others, however, I was, and still am the "biggest" person on the committee. This has given me an even greater sense of urgency to be in better shape and health overall and strive to be an example to others as to what is possible with determintion and drive. I recently got ahold of a copy of Insnity and started it on 04/23/12 and I have aready lost 10 pounds going into my third week. I've lost about an inch off my stomach and have felt better overall. I know I have a long way to go to get to my goal of 195 lbs (doctor reccomended), but I think with eating right, tracking what I eat with MFP, and daily exercise, I know I'll reach it eventually. I use MFP on my iPhone and computer and I've "liked' MFP on Facebook a well. Going off what people wrote for their calorie burn for Insanity workouts on MFP forums, I've been doing pretty good. Today I recieved my very own Heart Rate monitor/Calorie Burner watch and can't wait to see my actual numbers. Sorry for the long post and going on and on. Thanks for the encouragement and support.

On a side note, the keyboard I'm using (at work) is absolutly horrible and hardly works,so I'm constantly having to proof read and edit what I type. Sorry for any errors I overlooked and missed!

Welcome to MFP. I hear Insanity is crazy hard. Do you find that to be true.

Yes, Insanity is extremely tough. If you concentrate on the form of each movement instead of compromising form for "reps," you will feel the results because you'll be sore. Lol my first week I did almost an hour of extra stretching before each workout because I needed it. It's really good though, the instructor really gets me engaged in the workout and helps motivate me to keep going even if I'm tired. He also queues often to maintain form and rest if needed.
