Hi All, I just started Insanity last night. Made it through the Fitness test. That's a good sign right? Wondering if anyone has any tips on how to keep my body from breaking down halfway through the program, or if anyone else has tried the program or even succeeded. I feel good today but I'm sure at the end of this week I'll be a hurting unit.

I completed it 2 weeks ago...just keep hitting play and pushing through...most importantly is eating right...the fit test is a killer but every 2 weeks you'll be able to see those numbers increase which will happen...good luck to you...motivation and determination will get you through it and you'll get amazing results

I've completed insanity twice and insanity asylum once. I found that going slow and making sure that form is correct is what helped me to get through the workouts. Around the 2-3 week of the first month I was able to speed myself up and not take as many (if any) breaks.

definitely work on form first then go on to speed! (shaun T says to do that as well haha)

Good luck! It's a great program!

I am in the 4th week and I still cant get through an entire workout without taking extra breaks because I push myself to the max. I can finally get through the warmup without a break though. I would say that the most important thing I learned is that I need more than 1200 calories a day while doing it. I was insane to think I could get my on that! Sure I lost weight but by the third week I was physically drained and barely had the energy to complete a workout. I upped my calories to 1600 and boy do I feel better and am still losing weight. Now is definately not the time to skimp on the calories! Good luck and keep pushing play!

Hi everyone! I completed the series last year and did see a pretty big improvement even though I'm not the best at following the eating plan :/ I just restarted the series this morning, and started with pure cardio. Forgot how tough it was! I just try to push through as much as I can and concentrate on my form and if I need a break, I take it. Last time I went through Insanity, I couldn't even get through the warm-ups in the beginning and I remember thinking it was impossible, but one day everything changed and I just felt stronger and I felt like I could do it. Just stick to it! Most people that don't see results with Insanity, just give up. It's tough, but it is sooooo worth it!

I have done two rounds of Insanity. The most important thing to me, is PROPER FORM when you are doing the moves. You can seriously injure yourself if you do not practice proper form. If you are doing a move and your form is not right, STOP and correct your form. I seriously injured my back on squat jumps because of this very thing and it put me down for several days. Also you must eat the number of calories they recommend in the book to get the best results. You have to eat at least 2000-2500 calories while doing Insanity. You don't have to eat the recipes they give you, but eat a healthy high-calorie diet. Your body will transform from this workout. You may not lose alot of pounds, but you will lose a ton of fat and inches. It is the best dvd workout around, hands down. Good luck to you, I know you will do an awesome job! :)

Hi! Right now, I'm thinking of changing my cal intake to 1200, I'm at 1400 for 2 wks and lost 1.4 lb/week. But I read what you guys posted that with Insanity we should be eating proper amount of cal. Hmm...Does anyone have success doing it at 1200 cal.I tried 1200 before, but I dont eat back exercise cal. So is it okay to have a 1200 net, eating back exercise cal?

    thanks!
