ok so i hit my long term goal during last week sometime - i've even gone past it and lost another lb or two on top, but now i don't know what to do....

i'm 5'2" and i was around 13st in january last year and now down to 7st 12/13lbs (depending on time of day, lols) and am a uk size 6. i did 30DS, i run, cycle, do yoga and swim when i can. i typically burn 180 to 200 cals per day during exercise and more during the day with my active lifestyle. i net around 1500 cals a day. i'm pretty toned all over, apart from my mummy tummy which is still 26.5 inches - but down from 35 inches when i started.

so the question is, what next. i'm finding it hard to focus without a long term goal and my diet, while within my limits, has left a lot to be desired health-wise. even my exercise isn't as on schedule as it was because now i can just *meh* leave it.... (i haven't finished the last level of 30DS because the challenge of hitting the next level has gone from it i've still got 5 or 6 days to go till the end). i think i'm testing myself to see if i'll fall back into old habits - which i really don't want to do!

so i dunno. any suggestions would be welcome please - what should i go for next?

  • Maybe the next challenge is setting a schedule you can live with and sticking too it for maintenance?

I'd say now's a perfect time to fine-tune your diet and go for body recomposition.

What do you like to do? That always made it easier for me. Example: I used to love wakeboarding (still do, but the knees, not so much, you know) so I made a goal to wakeboard once a week (you can usually find a tow somewhere) for two hours. Holy mamba jamba did my *kitten* and thighs hurt. I also enjoy running so I bumped my running goal to 7 miles a week, running twice a week, 8 minute miles.

See if you can find something you actually like, biking through the woods or park or along the beach shore (I'm in Florida), learning to belly dance, roller blading (or skating =), something you might actually want to do the rest of your life that will keep you active and healthy and having fun.

Now that you're fit and energised, why not put that energy into training for a walking or running marathon, then you are focusing all your energies on fund raising for a great cause whilst still keeping fit and healthy!
