I recently started reading fifty shades of grey, and love it! I will be reading the other 2. In many ways reading a good book is my escape from the reality of life. What books have you read that you enjoy to "take you away."

I like reading a lot of different things, but I'll re-read books like A Farewell to Arms, Catch-22 and Goodbye, Columbus over and over again because the settings they take you to are pretty great. Even if they are extremely depressing.

Poor you, stuck reading 50 shades of grey. I LOATHE Twilight, so why would I ever want to read Twilight Fanfiction? The author of 50 shades of grey is disgusting...changing the names to publish it.

My mother in law gave me a book for Christmas called Homer. It is about a blind cat that is supposed to be heart-warming and inspiring.

I like my MIL, but I don't like cats, and I don't like where this book takes me.

Mostly I read the New Yorker magazine, and Genii magazine.

I basically read everything and anything. I usually rip through a couple handred pages a day, have books everywhere car, bathroom living room , purse... No favorites per say. When i was younger I read all the classics. Yard sales , flea markets and thrift stores are my favorite places to go to buy them... Guess reading this I shoild put the books down and get off my butt huh ?
