Anyone know why the protien allotment is so low? I think I do better with more protien, less carbs. Thanks.

Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for the body, especially the brain and nervous system. Protein is not used as readily, especially if you are not using your muscles extensively like an athlete training everyday. Therefore, the protein most people eat in excess is not used and can be made into fat stores if not utilized by the body.0

Apparently I am mixing up my "i" and "e". I thought the word looked wrong. I always thought the nutrition was the other way around -the carbs convert more easily into sugar and fat storage, whereas the protein takes longer to digest and therefore longer to turn into fat storage.0

the good news is you can adjust the percentages and customize your carb protein ratios. Many of us who's body respond better to lower carbs or who are insulin resistant or diabetic just tweak it to fit our diets.0

How do you tweak it the perentages? Also, I'm on WW and just started this MFP on Saturday. I gave up sweets & pastries & candy and now have 2-3 tsp. of olive or canola oil for my fats. I am usually under the MFP for fats and would like to transfer that over to the protein.0
