Anyone use HRM for swimming? I have Polar FT4 and it didn't like the water! Says water resistant, but it wasn't transmitting in the water. Suggestions?

I've used mine in the pool and ocean and it works great. Maybe your chest transmitter wasn't making constant contact with your skin. Tighten the strap, and wear it right against your skin, just under the bra line.0

I don't believe the signal normally works in the water. Also I wouldn't swim with a water resistant watch if you want it to last. Water proof and water resistant are two totally different things.0
