Heya all!
I have just been on MFP for three days as I am desperate to lose.
A bit of background...

I was diagnosed anorexic at 15, Anorexia being much like being an alcoholic in the sense you are always anorexic, just "in remission " when you are actually eating. That means my typical response to weight loss is starvation, as a form of habit.

That being said, I have lost weight the healthy way at points, but it's much more difficult for me as my metabolism is bust from all the years of abuse.

I have been heavy on and off since 16, from pregnancies, and serious health conditions. I have been as low as 10lbs above my goal weight(only via starvation) after relationship separations(200lbs. Goal being 190) , on 3 occasions, fixing and as high as 290lbs after a surgery that involved steroids. My body has VERY distinct plateaus, so for the past 3 years I have sat at either 217,224, and or 246.

I left my husband of 13 years in September and went from 224 to 207 in a week(starvation) but have been in my dream relationship since and am at 230 right now, which means I'm well on my way to my next plateau of 246... EWWWWW...

So time to take healthy action. The gain is foresure from eating out CONSTANTLY and nighttime snacking.

But I have decided to go for my ultimate goal of 190 this time and can use all the support I can get!

At this point I'm using MFP and EX stacks for the boost in loss. I have a gym in my complex I hope to utilize soon, but life is so chaotic right now.

Pleased to meet you all!

Welcome! I am from BC as well...born and raised in North Vancouver, but I moved to Quesnel 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter. I started my journey in January, where I weighed more than I did when I had my daughter. I have lost almost 30 lbs since then...and if I, the laziest person in the world, can do it then anyone can! (not to sound too cliche haha). Feel free to add me! Us Canadian girls need to stick together!!
