I really need/want to invest in some good underwear for running and working out. Any favorites?

Why do guys at the gym always stare at me?

I workout after work, so I just wear whatever I'm wearing. I never thought about underwear specifically for working out. I figure if it's comfortable enough to wear for the prior 10-12 hours, why change it for a workout? :)

A push up bra may feel fine throughout a workday at a desk job, but I can't imagine it would agree with sprinting very much.

I wear compression leggings, no underwear. Anytime I wear drawers they get all bunchy and distracting.

    I wear these:

I like them because they don't ride up.
  • I'd go for a cotton / spandex mix. Victoria Secret Pink collection, Nike, Under Armour, Barely There, Lulu Lemon... and many more. Pretty much any undie line carries something great to wear for working out :)

I don't recall the brand, but I went to a running store and bought running panties when I trained for a half marathon. They were wicking, didn't ride up and didn't chafe like cotton.

The original poster specifically said panties when asked if she was referring to bras or panties, so I didn't feel the need to comment on an aspect that the original poster wasn't interested in opinions on. I do use a sports bra to work out in, but I've never needed different panties. Wore the same thing during my half marathon as I wear on a day to day basis. No issues.

If you're wearing good workout gear, underwear are unnecessary. I don't wear any!

I wear good moisture-wicking running shorts with built ins, or leggings that are specifically for exercise with reinforcement in the crotch area. No need for undies, they're more of a hassle than they're worth!

^ this. It's so much easier especially since I don't want to wear my pretty lacy/satiny undies I wear during the day to work out in.

I wear fitted boyshorts. They are very comfy and stay in place.

I just can't go without undies at the gym. It's a mental thing for me. Chafing sucks.
