~*~ Lifting Beginner ~*~

When I say beginner, I mean pathetically weak.
1. Where do I start?
2. When lifting, should I be straining quite a bit to lift it? Or should it a smooth lift?
3. Best machines?
I go to Planet Fitness if that helps. I thought maybe I could just start off with the 30 minute express, it was 10 various machines & 10 steppers. I skip the steppers though and just do the machines twice. (I do my own cardio)

I started lifting by doing P90X and would recommend it. There are women on the video that do the workouts and don't lift heavy weights or get really bulky0

A good book to start with is new rules for lifting for women.
I go to planet fitness, too. I don't really do the machines, just a few like pull up assist, pull down and row. But other than that I use barball and free weights.
I lift heavy, I have gotten smaller. Women don't get bulky naturally.0 -
