protein bar recipes?

Hello everyone..
So, I've been trying to incorporate protein into my diet (aside from dairy/meat). Just recently, I tried special K protein meal bars and i love them..
but A. they're expensive (and i'm a broke-*kitten* college kid) and
B. i feel these could be homemade without the added sugar/fat.
(I know they're kind of a "glorified cookie" but i enjoy indulging myself with a well-earned sweet treat, everyday.. and it's nice when such a thing has a bit of nutritious goodness to it)
Has anyone tried homemade protein bars? I'm thinking of concocting something similar to the special k bar when i get back home for the summer.. when i finally have time to bake/cook!!
I'm up to the challenge of creating a recipe, on my own, but if anyone has a recipe or two (or more!) to share, that would be awesome and much appreciated!
Also, I'm interested in any granola bar/healthy "cookie" recipes, as well.
Thanks for your help!!

Hey!! I'm in the same poor college student boat as you. I've been doing this recently:
1 C of old fashioned oats
1/4 C of unsweetened coca powder
3 very ripe bananas mashed
1 Cup of unsweetened applesauce
mixed them all together and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. I store them in the freezer so they keep longer, I get about 9 or 10 bars out of this. I calculated the calories to be about 90 per bar I've been considering adding a scoop of protein powder but haven't tried it yet....0
