Hello.....has anyone here had a large weight loss and ended up with loads of skin or on a more positive note have you lost loads but your skin has remained ok? What did you use etc? I still have 5 stone to go but over half way and I definitely won't be able to afford surgery at the end so any advice appreciated and will be taken on board! Thanks

I have a long way to go too and hope that I will be able to come out the other end with supple and firm, lovely skin. I lost about 80 pounds back in 2003-2004 and didn't have any problems.

What I have heard is to keep your skin moisturized and to do strength training. I did those things back in 03-04, and, like I said, no problems, so I am going to do them again this time.

Any other suggestions are MOST welcome!

Soaking your body in cold water 12 degrees for up to 1 hr a day. I know this is shocking but my Mom found this neurosurgeon online who has tested this cold thermogenesis - she has tried it herself I have seen with my own eyes it's effects. Her skin which used to be sagging on her stomach is now tightened and firm. WOW!!! I am going to test it in myself as well and will post it's effects.

Here is the link in case anyone wants to read up on it.

    Good Luck :)

Hiya. I am sure with such a fabulous weight loss, At the end of it all, National Health will be able to assist. Its worth asking your doctor.

This also worries me. I have a total of 4-5 stones to lose and I have over hanging tummy and just starting out.

Hello sloanranger.....I thought exactly the same but when I spoke to my gp who was very sympathetic but then said that it really is,yet again, a postcode lottery! The chances of having it on the nhs are sooooo slim.....I will keep trying though as they can see how hard I'm working my end so fingers crossed. Good luck with your loss x
