The first photo is of me taken late in 2009- whilst the other I took this evening. I have just a few extra kilos to lose and a whole heap of loose skin that hopefully might shrink. If not it looks like I might need a trip to a surgeon.

    And this is me now minus 42 kilos or 93 lbs. almost exactly a year in the process

    Thanks so much everyone -I am very pleased with my progress and considering my large frame ( as confirmed by my doctor) - I think if I can lose just a couple more kilos then I will be delighted.

    Thankfully I have never needed a cane and hopefully this weight loss will increase the time before I need to use one down the track. Thank you so much for all of the lovely supportive comments. I am very pleased with myself and have made life changes that will lead to a much healthier future.
